Looking for an illustrator for your next indie or self-publishing project?

I’m an award-winning illustrator with experience in chapter books, middle grade and picture book illustration. I work from home in the Gold Coast, using mainly digital media.

My style (which you can check out here) ranges from sweet and cute, to fun and quirky, to something a little more detailed and grown-up. I am most comfortable with Chapter Books but am always looking for a new challenge.

I do have some experience with graphic novels but please note these are VERY time consuming to illustrate, making them very expensive. If you are looking for an illustrator for a graphic novel, I would highly recommend applying for a grant through some of the channels below:

Please note all pricing includes roughs + final art. For covers, I can supply illustrations, however I am not a cover designer. I suggest working with a professional cover designer to create a layout and add text placement.

Picture Books

32 page picture book: $4,000 – $6,000 depending on complexity of style and subject matter

24 page picture book: $3,000 – $4,000 depending on complexity of style and subject matter

Chapter Books and Middle Grade

Chapter book illustrations, including illustrations for middle grade novels, are usually printed in black and white only. Sometimes they can include a single spot colour, such as the pink in the sample illustrations from MerTales (Albert Street Books, 2021).
